I am going to try to put every thing down for this month. We went to Midland in the motor home where they had an Air show that was just great. It was amazing what some of these huge Air Craft could do. Also there is a very nice museum. Of coarse back at the camp we had to try out some more outside cooking. It was a great success. We also tried to eat out. We found an Italian restaurant that sounded very nice. But sadly we have to say it was not the best we ever had.Just to finish the end of the trip we drove by George Bush's (43) childhood home.

Visit to Texas

Visit to Texas to see Grandpa and Grandma. update comming soooon

Nashville

We left for Nashville Tennessee on May 5th 2009 at about 6:20 am. We stopped in Bryson for breakfast and met with Bill and Linda.

After several hours of driving we stooped at a road side park to eat lunch , where we saw a hole in the wall hamburger place; Well so much for eating in a road side park; it was a great hamburger!!

Back on the road at 1:00pm; still in Texas :-) . Our first night stop was at a Days Inn; no we did not stay at the Hotel, the RV park was behind the Days Inn. It was good for overnight. Next day off to Nashville!!

We took the Tommy tour of Nashville and it was a lot of fun. It is good to take a tour to show you the main things in Nashville. We learned some history of Nashville and drove out to some of the stars home where we saw some beautiful homes and a few strange ones.

In the evening we went to the Grand Ole Opry. The Grand Ole Opry is the world's longest running radio program. This is a tradition that began in 1925 and it carries on today as superstars of country music perform live each weekend . We had a grand ole time!!!

We also drove out to the Loveless Cafe and also part of the Natchez Trace Trail. For another great lunch we stopped in a small town and ate at Pucketts. It is also a small country grocery store.

What's for Dinner ??

We stayed at the Two Rivers RV park and it was a very nice park. We made a lot of new friends there and had a good time. We cooked pork tender lion with black bean quanoa one day; kabob another day and Steve made a breakfast every morning.

2009 April

I did my first outdoor painting class with Kay as the teacher . I really had a good time in the Wichita Mountains. There is so much more to do there; we just have to come back. Time goes by so fast when you have a good time.

We had a lot of fun with Bill and Linda

After a few days in Oklahoma we drove back to Graham to pick up Grandma and off we went to Fredericksburg. I just can not believe that we always find something new in this area. There is a old railroad tunnel that was closed in 1942 and, after the bats from Mexico migrate every spring to this tunnel, we came to see if they were already here for the summer. We wanted to see what time they come out of the tunnel. This is only about 10 miles out of Fredericksburg and the drive alone is just beautiful. We found out that the bats are already here for the summer. We also found a great place to eat a good old fashion hamburger . We also went to the Enchanted Rock. We did not have enough time to climb all the way to the top so we have to come back and climb to the top!! We also can not forget that Fredericksbug has shopping and food. We had breakfast in a bakery that had German pancakes that where just fantastic. We also had to eat wiener schnitzel. There are not to many Germans left in Fredeicksburg but there is still one place that serves veal for schnitzel and that is the Rats Keller; very good!! Not to forget Luckenbach; We had to go because we were just that close!

2009 Lacy's Wedding Shower

We had a very busy day Saturday. First we had family Easter and then in the afternoon we had Lacy's wedding shower. We had a wonderful time. We played a couple games that were a lot of fun; the first was who had the most items in there purse, and the winner was Gail. Then who had the lightest purse and Trisha was the winner there. We played a game where we split up in three different groups and we had to pick a bride in each group. We had to make a wedding dress out of an house hold item and the item was toilet paper!!!

2009 Easter

We had another great Easter with a wonderful turn out . The Family book was great; I think everyone would like to have one.
