2010 July in Portland-Part 1

Finally in July we flew to Portland OR to see our Grandsons. Stacy and I flew over first on July 12th. We arrived late that evening and Aleks, the oldest grandson was the only one that could come to the airport with his daddy to pick us up. Aleks brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. When we arrived at their home Luka and Niki were waiting up for us and both where so exited!

Grandpa came a few days later. We had a great time and enjoyed being a part of their every day life (even though it was for just a few days). Jennifer had a birthday while we were in Portland and she went out to celebrate with her husband, Rome. I know that is not much but we were glad that we could be there to babysit. Aleks, Luka and Niki are just wonderful kids and we had no problem babysitting once we assured them that mama is going to be back! We had a fun evening.

We enjoyed going on a nature hike with a group of kids.

This was an outing about the grasslands.

Well some knew where the grass is.

We went to a farm to pick Blueberries and Raspberries. There were cherries left on a few trees. What fun!

We did not eat them all .

This big mama pig was also at the berry farm .

At home we watched the boys ride there bikes
and that they both can do very well!

Need to buckle up or I am not going to do it! Niki loves to buckle up.

While the kids played, dad and grandpa did maintenance on the car.

We also had a wonderful meal at some friends house; The weather was just perfect to eat and cook outside.

Great food and people

Just look at dessert. Mmmm.... so good!!!
